Welcome

I’m Dr. Rachel Lauber, a licensed clinical psychologist in Santa Monica with over 25 years of experience working with adults—especially women—who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or worn down by long-standing patterns, and want greater clarity and a more grounded way of living.

My approach is thoughtful and collaborative, grounded in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. I work in a compassionate, attuned way, offering a space where you can feel understood while also developing practical tools and insight that support meaningful, lasting change.

Together, we’ll work toward greater balance, resilience, and a clearer, steadier way of moving through your life.

How I Can Help

How I Can Help

I offer therapy for adults navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, and major life transitions, including pregnancy and the postpartum period, in a way that is both evidence-based and thoughtfully collaborative.

How Therapy Works

Getting Started

We begin with a brief consultation to talk about what’s bringing you in and to see whether working together feels like a good fit. This is a chance to ask questions and get a sense of my approach before deciding how to proceed.

Ongoing Work

Therapy typically involves meeting on a regular basis, at a pace that feels supportive and manageable. Sessions are collaborative and thoughtful, focused on understanding patterns, developing practical tools, and building greater clarity and emotional steadiness over time.

Moving Forward

As our work unfolds, many clients find they feel less overwhelmed, more grounded, and better able to navigate relationships, decisions, and life transitions with intention. Therapy is not about quick fixes, but about creating changes that are meaningful and sustainable.

It starts with a conversation.

Taking the first step to reach out is often the hardest part. Scheduling a consultation gives us a chance to connect, discuss your goals, and see if working together feels like the right fit.
